How do you rate your picks?
We have the following categories:
* Free Pick -
We have money on this pick, normally only a half-unit, but sometimes a full unit. Many times the Free Pick is the first play we come across that we like. It depends upon the sport. In football, we have days to handicap games before making the free pick. Sometimes we like it as much as our premium picks, but we can't release too many premium picks. Money management is part of our job.
Sometimes we like the pick but for there is some reason to not bet a full unit. Could be that we already are playing enough that day, could be there is one small thing about the play that turns us off or creates too much uncertainity. Other factors that will effect whether we play this pick and for how much are line movement, late information, injuries, even other game results played earlier.
* PREMIUM PICKS -
We are playing them ourselves!
BRONZE 3*- Three Star Plays
Our most common play. This is a one-unit bet.
SILVER 4*- Four Star Plays
We like this game more than a Bronze pick and normally bet 1.25 units on Silver picks.
GOLD 5*- Five Star Play
Don't get as many of these, we normally play them at 1.5 units.
PLATINUM 6*- Multiple Unit Play
These are fairly rare, we play two to three units on a Platinum pick.
THIS IS HOW WE PLAY, we are not saying this is the way you should bet. You can hit 60% of your plays, but poor money management can cause you to be a loser over a season. We have the belief that you leverage your money, we bet more on multiple-unit plays when we are on a winning streak. We don't go off the deep end, we want to deposit some winnings in the bank. We don't advocate this for everyone, but it has treated us very well over the years. We have critics, but many times those are from people that don't have their money where their mouth is.
Regardless of how YOU play, please bet with your head, not your heart! Do not let emotions get into your play. REMEMBER, THE BEST BET MIGHT BE THE ONE YOU DON'T PLAY! There will ALWAYS be another game!
